Love Is Everywhere, if You’re Paying Attention

By Amy Andersen, Founder and CEO of Linx Dating

No matter who we are or where we are in life, there is one universal desire that connects us all.

Love.

To find it.
To be loved.
To give love.
To feel connected to something larger than ourselves.

Love isn’t limited to romance, and it doesn’t live in just one place. It weaves itself through our lives….in art, in family, in learning, and in the quiet moments that shape who we become.

When we expand how we see love, something shifts. We stop chasing it as something rare or elusive, and begin to recognize how present it already is.

Love in Music

Music is often the first place love finds us.

Before we have language for longing or devotion, a song captures it for us. Music holds memory, emotion, heartbreak, and hope all at once. It reminds us that love has rhythm….sometimes steady, sometimes messy, sometimes overwhelming.

Music teaches us that love doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. It simply has to be felt.

Love in Words and Notes

There is something deeply intimate about love that is written down.

A handwritten note.
A letter saved for years.
A message you return to when you need reassurance.

Written love asks us to slow down and be intentional. It says, I see you, and this matters. These moments remind us that love often shows up quietly- in thoughtfulness, care, and presence.

Love in Film

Film allows us to witness love from the outside.

We watch people meet, miss each other, grow, change, and sometimes find their way back. What resonates isn’t perfection- it’s humanity. Love in film reminds us that connection is rarely linear, and that vulnerability and choice matter more than flawless timing.

Love in Books

Books let us sit inside love.

Inside someone else’s inner world.
Inside their questions, hopes, and realizations.

Through stories, we develop empathy and emotional depth. Books show us that love is layered and personal- and that there is no single way it’s meant to unfold.

Love in Family

For many of us, family is our first experience of love.

It’s where we learn care, loyalty, forgiveness, and belonging. Family love can be complex, but it is foundational. It teaches us that love can endure, evolve, and hold nuance all at once.

Love in Learning and Growth

There is love in curiosity.

In reflection.
In the willingness to grow.

Choosing to learn...about ourselves and others….is an act of love. It’s how we become better partners, friends, and humans. This love may be quiet, but it shapes everything.

Love isn’t one thing, and it isn’t confined to romance.

It’s woven throughout our lives—if we’re willing to notice it.

And when we do, we don’t just look for love.
We live it.
