Published on 10/14/2026 from Bloomberg: Amy Andersen on the AI Boom and Luxury Matchmaking
By Amy Andersen, Founder and CEO of Linx Dating
The AI boom is changing fortunes in Silicon Valley. It is also prompting a deeply personal question: Who do I want beside me as my life changes?
Bloomberg’s recent feature explores this shift, including what I’m seeing at Linx Dating as professionals from companies such as Perplexity, Anthropic, and NVIDIA seek a more personal approach to finding a partner.
The impact extends beyond those working directly in AI. Professionals in adjacent fields, including law and real estate, are also reaching out as their careers and circumstances evolve. Many have devoted enormous energy to building their professional lives and are ready to give their personal lives that same attention.
That process begins well before an introduction. At Linx, we spend time understanding a client’s values, relationship history, daily life, and hopes for the future. Coaching, thoughtful preparation, and conversations after dates help clients understand both whom they want to meet and how they approach a potential relationship.
One of my favorite parts of the piece is the story of my client Jonathan and his partner, Christine. After losing his wife, Jonathan faced the unfamiliar experience of dating again after decades. Our work together included everything from rebuilding his dating wardrobe to preparing for introductions and talking through each experience. He and Christine have now been together for more than two years.
His story captures the care behind this work. A search for a partner can also be a process of rediscovering yourself and making room for a future you once struggled to imagine.
Thank you to Georgie McKay for including Linx Dating and sharing the human stories behind this growing interest in matchmaking!
