Dear Subscriber First Name,

Over the years, I've noticed something interesting: there is a seasonality to matchmaking.

Every June, without fail, I see a shift.

Maybe it's the sunshine. Maybe it's the longer days. Maybe it's the weddings, vacations, backyard dinners, and celebrations that fill our calendars this time of year. Whatever the reason, people seem more open. More social. More willing to say yes.

After more than two decades in this business, I've always seen a strong correlation between sunshine and people's desire to meet someone special.

What I love about this season is that it reminds us that connection often happens when we're engaged with life itself. When we're out in the world. When we're saying yes to invitations. When we're a little more relaxed and a little less focused on outcomes.

The people who ultimately find great relationships are rarely the people trying to force one. More often, they are the people who stay open, stay curious, and allow something meaningful to unfold over time.

As we head into summer, my hope for all of us is simple: spend time with people who make you feel calm and alive. Say yes a little more often. Put yourself in environments where serendipity has a chance to do its work.

I also hope many of you have some fun travel plans ahead. Travel has a wonderful way of expanding our perspective, introducing us to new people, and reminding us how much there is left to discover.

As for me, I am headed to Greece for the first time and couldn't be more excited. I look forward to immersing myself in the culture, exploring a new corner of the world, and hopefully returning with a little inspiration (and perhaps a few stories) to share.

After all, while relationships require intention, they also require opportunity.

And summer has always been one of the best seasons for both.
